Style Made Smart

Have you ever thought to yourself, “Wow. Wouldn’t it be great to have a pulled-together look all pulled together for me?” Well apparently Ryan Seacrest heard your cries for fashion help.

He’s already got a multi-hypenated career – TV host and producer, radio personality, and Hollywood eye candy – and now he’s adding “fashion designer” to the list with a line of suits and separates created for Macy’s.

This new line of suit and tuxedo separates, including jackets, vests, trousers, shirts and ties debuted in Macys stores this month. The suit separates, ranging from $80 for a vest to $400 for a jacket, feature a ‘Style Made Smart™’ matching system that helps customers put together pieces in the same color family. Style Made Smart™ is a color matching system based on four major suit colors: black, grey, blue and brown.

The line also includes button down shirts ($69.50) and ties ($59.50).

Mr. Seacrest told New York Magazine that he sees his customer as ‘all ends of the spectrum: a guy interviewing for his first job, working a full day and stopping for a bite on the way home … and a guy my age wearing a suit every day.’

He said that he approved the fit and fabric of every item based on “things I’d learned by wearing suits for a living for a decade on the air.”

He told The Hollywood Reporter that the suits reflect his penchant for multitasking. “Every suit and tux is made so you can move quickly through life. The design is active, and you can move through life quickly and even put this together in a quick fashion. That was part of building this line – the ability of guys to find something they like and quickly put it on and stay on the move.”

We’re thinking that this line would be perfect for the guy just starting out, who hasn’t quite developed his own style, or just can’t put things together without the help of Mom or a girlfriend. The goods seem to be of good quality and are easy to put together using the Style Made Smart™.
